Vahan calls Aram Hunanyan 'the cultural ambassador of Yerevan' because he is the guy who keeps in touch with artists and brings them all together at exhibitions and events. When left to his own devices, he produces beautiful ceramic vases and the like. To earn a crust, he creates figures which blend traditional styles with his own sensibilities, then sells them to wealthy tourists in the markets of Yerevan.
